Well, I can't stay quiet any longer . . . no one has posted on this VERY interesting interview with Dan Cohrs of GX: thetelecommanalyst.com

I beleive that Dan is giving a GX Revenue warning to the UPSIDE.

Highlights:

In response to a question on the SWIFT deal:
[DC] The contract calls for guaranteed minimum payments of $300 million over a period of six years. That's the absolute contractual minimum, but we actually project our revenues to be significantly more than that.

In response to a question about revenue expectations:
[DC] There are several points to make here, George. One is that we are no longer heavily dependent on the Atlantic. Just 18 months ago, we got 100% of our revenue by selling capacity products in the Atlantic. In our budget for 2001, we are relying on the Atlantic for less than 2% of our revenues. That's because we know there is new competition coming, and we constructed our budget so that we can make our numbers even if we sell almost nothing in the Atlantic. So from that point of view, we don't think it has a big impact on our business.

In response to a question regarding bandwidth supply:
[DC] When you really take into account the actual data-carrying capacity of these networks relative to demand, we think there are continuing shortages around the world in virtually every market.
