Character assassination is a favorite activity here, so feel free to engage in that, if you wish.

I don't feel free to engage in character assassination, even with your permission. I have never done that and don't plan to start now. I consider character assassination immoral.

I am sorry, Karen, but you are branded as an immoral and unchaste woman, because you pointed out the unintended humorous consequences of enacting such a policy

Well, do you think that brand is fair? If I'm going to be considered unchaste, I should have done something more titillating than pressing my fingertips to my keyboard.

Regarding the "unintended humorous consequences," I see that you recognize that they're pretty humorous. Your notion of a scholarship for chastity is sweet, but I'm sure that you see that it's unworkable in practice, bureaucracy being what it is. I'm sorry if my appreciation of the humor of it was a bit too flip.

The reward for chastity is inherent to the chastity itself. It dramatically reduces the risk to a girl of screwing up her life. I'm not sure awarding a scholarship for it is the right message.

Karen

EDIT: Sorry, CR, I thought I was responding to a post from Brees. My response was directed at him. Brain dead, I guess.
