Side note, why would anyone build a chip factory in an earthquake zone? Jim, The quake was 30 miles down....not likely to cause a lot of damage at the surface of the epicenter. There is more damage likely 30-60 miles away from the epicenter.....like where I am located.....due to the rolling motion that a quake generates. Why is the plant located in an earthquake zone? Earthquakes are possible anywhere...I believe the worst earthquake in American history was the one in St. Louis around 1815...its estimated that it measured over 8 on the Richter Scale and rang the bells in Boston. ted
