That is apparently what you were doing when you took note of Brinker's success with his January 2000 call, and then concluded for some reason that his ability to forecast long-term market direction meant that he would be good at short-term trading. I fell into it myself, although for somewhat different reasons, which I have already outlined.

No, it was the misrepresentation of the CTR call on the radio in the summer that, IMO, lulled many into the disasterous October CTR and possibly others (new subs) into the disasterous November CTR, December CTR and January CTR.

As I have said before, I thought his longterm calls were ok but he was not alone in that (cheerleaders here to the contrary many were calling for a drop in 2000 and much more accurately). I also thought his stock trades were pretty poor but I never realized how disasterous his disasters were.

Why would I or anyone listening or even reading on a normal basis? Without the work of the Suite101.com board, how would anyone?

Who keeps track of Bob's horrible calls? The entire reason anyone would pay $185 for 12 monthly newsletters is to get the benefit of someone else's work not to create more homework.
