If he had listened to you Sir Auric he would have sold much much higher.
JDS Uniphase co-chair files to sell $14 mln in stock
WASHINGTON, Feb 28 (Reuters) - A new co-chairman of Canada's JDS Uniphase Corp. <JDU.TO> <JDSU.O>, the world's No. 1 supplier of fiber-optic components, plans to sell shares valued at about $14 million, a U.S. regulatory filing on Wednesday showed.
In a filing made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Donald Scifres has indicated he intends to sell 448,000 common shares of the company, which has offices in both Ottawa, Canada and San Jose, California.
It was not immediately known if the shares have been sold. A spokesman was not immediately available for comment.
Scifres is a former chief executive at SDL Inc., the world's No. 2 supplier of components to boost the speed and capacity of telecommunications optical networks. JDS acquired SDL earlier this month.
The SEC document, which was filed on February 22 with the U.S. regulatory agency, also shows that Scifres acquired the stock he plans to sell from SDL after exercising options.
It would not be the first time Scifres has sold stock in JDS and SDL in the past three months. He has already made about $21 million after selling 175,000 shares, including 80,000 shares of JDSU last Wednesday.
JDS shares were trading $1-3/16 lower at $26-5/8. In the past 52 weeks, they have been as high as $153-7/16 and as low as $27-7/16.
