Nadine, rather then defend Bush's initiative and go into a long explanation describing why partial privatization of social security is a sound path to follow, (which I've done here at great length in the past). I will simply ask a couple of questions. What solution would you offer to deal with the baby boomer imbalances coming our way? What solution have Democrats offered? It's very easy to always be against something. Much more difficult to propose a solution to an obvious problem. Democrats are very good at pointing out problems. Very poor at offering any real solutions, except, "tax more".
