That's interesting. I had dinner with some friends tonight, and exactly the same thing was commented on. They said there were almost no rumors or indications of expense cutbacks or possible layoffs... less even than in 99 or 2000. One recent sign of strain only, related to the semi division.

Is Lou deliberately trying to avoid letting any telltale smoke escape from the oven, hmm?

Anyway, I told them I'm going seriously short IBM on the next bounce over 105, and suggested they all sell their stock asap.
