From AMDZone comes word that Abit motherboards have been removed from the AMD recommended list: amdzone.com Abit Removed From Recommended List Reported by: Alan Smith At: 3:57 PM Source: e-mail Shukla just sent me word that AMD has removed Abit motherboards from its Recommended Motherboard List. He wrote to AMD asking why Abit was removed, here is what he heard back: AMD continually updates its motherboard validation testing suite for the AMD Athlon and AMD Duron processors to ensure that all of the recommended motherboards listed on our public web site abide by our product specifications for operation. In recent testing, we detected that a few of the motherboards recommended on our site were not operating within our specifications and therefore removed them from our recommended list. <boilerplate stuff deleted> If you are having difficultly booting your system with a board that you purchased and it was previously included on our AMD recommended motherboard list, we would recommend that you return it to the reseller to exchange it for one that is currently listed. Regards, AMD So then I looked at the list and found that there are NO KT133A boards listed at all. Is the list that much out of date? And I wonder what happened to Abit. Petz
