I've always wondered why Iraq has not tried a balloon delivery system similar to what was attempted by Japan in 1944. Seems like it would be cheap and easy enough for Iraq to mass produce.... www-users.cs.umn.edu ------------------------------------------------------------ In December 1944, Japan started a balloon assault on the U.S. by sending about 200 balloon bombs, but not germ bombs, to the west coast, each 30 feet in diameter and 91 feet round. They caused the deaths of 7 people. The person taking charge of the investigation of the balloons was none other than Murry Sanders, the man who was first sent to Japan to investigate Unit 731. Forty years later, Sanders recalled:
