RE: tech wreck

Those of us who followed SD during the 98 collapse should remember some folks constantly calling "the" bottom, over and over again. Each time there was more blood letting in the sector. We all grew tired of Pisani and his daily chant "death of a thousand cuts" even after the bottom had started to form and a base was being built.

I strongly caution those who are inclined to call "the" NASDAQ bottom with each drop to remember the past.

Dipping toes in the water to gain exposure to individual companies is one thing as long as one understands that there is a potentially painful downside to getting in too early.

I'm a believer in the need for a catalyst to change the NASDAQ's fortunes and until one can be found......the beat goes on.

Some companies will never recover from this situation and others will become stronger for having survived the downswing. Bottom fishing doesn't ensure success on Wall St. Good stock picking, well that's another story all together.
