Scumbria,,, Re..At one point in the 1970's geologists were considering pumping water into the San Andreas fault to lubricate it, and induce earthquakes (thus releasing the shear stress built up along the fault.) This probably would have been a smart thing to do, but obviously was politically unpalatable, as people will always choose to defer and increase pain for future generations.<

What water???? The only water available in large quantities, in the West coast area is salt water. That would have really made sense pumping salt water into your water aquifers. And you call rep. morons. I thought you were against pollution, not for it. And just how thrilled the future generations would have been, what with the aquifers being polluted just to try and reduce an earthquake.
