thanks for the reply.

i'm still trying to get at whether or not two physical hard drives will run off of one controller card simultaneously.

to your knowledge, will an ata-66 card (or any card for that matter) with only one ribbon cable that goes to both a master and a slave drive permit both drives to operate at the same time?
