Greg- What if the expansion of our national highway system, or electricity to the home, or water treatment....were all subject to the profit motive, and the whims of the stock market of that day....would this have delayed the build-out of the sytems, and their enormous benefits for every person in the land. Undoubtedly.

We are in an information age economy. Could the delay of broadband be considered as important (as the delay of those products/services would have been in their day?)?...
