Your main problem with the tax cut seems to be that those who pay significantly more in taxes currently will have significantly less taken when the cut is implemented.
I have the impression that your ideal is that the guy who makes $30,000 a year and pays $4000 in taxes should get $40,000 back and the guy who makes $200,000 a year and pays $70,000 in taxes should get $400 back. Yeah, that sounds fair. What you don't want to deal with is that with a perfectly fair tax cut, those who pay more now will end up with more dollars in their pockets with a tax cut.

You want the solution to that "problem"? Change the tax system so that everybody, regardless of income, pays the same dollar amount to support the government. Then everybody receiving the same dollar reduction in a tax cut is fair.

"We think y'all are better judges of your money than the professional politicians in Washington, D.C."
Pray tell, just what is wrong with that statement?

But do try to educate yourself somewhat on what the implications are if we go "full speed ahead" with the GOP tax cut for the wealthiest of the wealthy and Dubya's budget.
I have already said that I believe the cut should be smaller and last for less time. And more government income should go towards reducing the debt.

The fact of the matter is only a small portion of the taxes we pay to Uncle Sam might be considered "our money" and not the "government's money."
It's ALL our money. Some portion of that money is given to the government to meet necessary common needs. What's left is ours to do with as we see fit. The fact that the government may have inflated its spending beyond reason is irrelevant. It needs to face reality.

It costs money, you know, to build and maintain highways, defend the country, pay for medical costs of the brave men and women who served in uniform, provide help for the underclasses of society
I said NECESSARY common needs. The last one doesn't qualify. Nor does paying lawyers to sue the government on behalf of that underclass. Nor the National Endowment for the Arts. Or any of a thousand other liberal crapass programs. If we get rid of the junk, their will be no problem funding the government.

Another problem is those fairy tales you are trying to float, claiming that people with more money than Joe SixPack are "lazy neer-do-wells ... wastrels ... who are living off their inheritance." Because as I and others pointed out, most millionaires in this country EARNED THEIR MONEY IN THEIR OWN LIFETIMES. A minor little point that blows your argument-by-anger-and-envy out of the water.
