The deficit reduction act that you brag about as Bill's greatest legislative accomplishment was mainly a tax increase. They can call it anything they want. It still was a increase in taxes. All GW is doing is rolling those crushing tax rates back slightly.

By the way, it was just reported that a congressional committee just approved a lower tax bill, which may have been the spark for the market this aft.
