There have always been three separate questions for us during this debacle:

--how low would we go? (perhaps of special interest to those idiots still carrying some margin)

--how long would the decline last? (perhaps of special interest to those idiots still holding wasting assets such as options or LEAPS)

--when the Naz eventually starts to go back up, will our favorites be in the vanguard, or will they be left for dead on the blood-soaked turf with the rest of the bubble scams?

We still don't know the answers to the first two, but it seems increasingly clear (to me, at least) that the answer to the third is positive--that our companies are intact and will lead the market out of the doldrums eventually. I say this for two reasons: first, because we have generally been free of company-specific bad news so far (thank you lord), and second, because whenever we have a good day our puppies strain at the leash to pop up. Today was another piece of evidence:

Nas 2,183 +31.54 +1.5%
CREE 21.75 +0.75 +3.6%
GMST 45.41 +0.16 +0.3%
ITWO 27.56 +0.69 +2.6%
JDSU 29.25 +2.50 +9.3%
NTAP 30.88 +1.13 +3.8%
QCOM 61.19 +6.38 +11.6%
SEBL 44.63 +6.38 +16.7%

If we can just hold out for a while longer (days? weeks? months? quarters? certainly not years), we might just do fine in the end.
