Did the Democrats even suggest cutting spending back in the 80's? Of course not. Remember how Dukakis wanted to raise taxes to fix our budget troubles? It's no wonder he lost to Bush Sr.

Funny how Clinton's budget last year increased spending by 8%, while Bush wants to keep the increase to only 4%. The sad thing is, even Bush will have a hard time doing that considering how Washington loves to spend our money on anything besides tax or debt relief.
