I thought I'd take this opportunity following earnings to present my own update on the development of the lily pond site.

I have been putting in quite a bit of time researching various markets and developing a database of source material. I need to obtain backing from a professor in order to get a new internet account to host the site on...which will be necessary to provide the database as an interactive feature to each of you.

What is emerging is a picture of over-estimations on unit volumes. In several cases, the yearly market size was confused with aggregate estimates, meaning that projecting maybe have to come down in some markets by 50% and in one case 70%.

Fiddler confirmed my suspicions that it was unrealistic to assume a significant share of the 3G handset market, and therefore I would like to drastically scale down the wireless handheld lily pond. I'll also work on splitting it into two ponds--one on the consumer side where we can predict a nominal market share, and one on the infrastructure side where they have been focusing their efforts.

With that said, I look forward to having the enhanced features up on the site within a month. I'd also like to reiterate my "adopt a lily" offer. So far, two brave souls have stepped up to the challenge of researching the pond and sourcing material for the database.
