In case you didn't notice, the stock price has already collapsed.
I think you are misjudging the way the street values companies. Intel has a brand and franchise, and cash, that has value.
AMD, on the other hand, what if their margins turn negative, with their debt?
And it seems that Intel can demand higher prices, and is the low cost producer. And Intel has a very strong position in servers and notebooks, which are growing markets, and highly profitable.
AMD is subject only to the whims of pricing for PC microprocessors, a market that has been said to be very soft, at best. And they are primarily retail, which is really soft.
