re:In case you didn't notice, the stock price has already collapsed.
we have a different definition of collapse :-))

re:I think you are misjudging the way the street values companies. Intel has a brand and franchise, and cash, that has value.

that may be :-)) but I always thought that it is a function of expectations. Reductions in expectations lead to lower price. Intel brand got value but not the value it used to have. Cash is still there but not enough to justify market cap.
Amd margins may turn negative but that is already priced in the stock.
Intel is demanding higher price but at this point less and less people are willing to pay for the brand. Commercial sector may be next.

Lower cost producer?
Is that per square inch or per unit? :-)) p4 is larger than athlon.

Notebooks?
Do you think Palomino and Morgan might change that somewhat?

Servers?
Amd is aiming at those as well with the hammer family.
Your info is wrong about retail market. While the demand is somewhat soft it is not as bad as commercial sector.

do I own amd?
I do not believe that ownership of the stock should matter but if you insist then I own both amd and intel
