Hi Again!, everyone,

Looks like I now have a clean dsl line to work with, along with a new gee whiz computer. Took far too long...you folks have posted 955 messages since I dropped off in early Feb.
and I've only scanned a few of the more recent...like the one from Mike to which I'm offering this reply.

I agree with that author that we'll see a bottom below historical PE's and I'm keeping powder dry until we see what I think will be 1500 or below. Why so low? Seems logical to me that quarterly earnings ahead will be lower than we've already seen, so what may look historically attractive now may not be so in a little while.

I'm also being leery of "false" rallies and I expect we'll see a couple of those between now and late next Summer...by which time the January rate cuts should be fully worked into the economy.

Most troubling to me will be picking the first risers...putting my bets down again. I'm ignoring those on the TV and in the newspapers who say beware of the techs. If the Naz is to revive, it's the techs that will do it, so that's where my money will go.

As always, the collective wisdom of this thread will be my compass.

Chaz
