If you are good trader, why do you need Bob Brinker to tell you when to buy QQQ's????

I suspect there are many traders that follow Bob and do well. Not that I'm claiming to be one of them, mind you. But I do think that Bob's overall market view is valuable in establishing what the major market trend is. And every trader must know what kind of market he's dealing in, bear or bull.

Exogenous events occur all the time. It's these unexpected events and how people react to them that make markets move up and down.

Well, exogenous events aren't that frequent and they usually have a short term effect. There is no way to plan for them. You can only react to them as they occur or just simply wait it out.

Why didn't Bob recognize the exogenous events and cut his losses? Ego. And because he didn't cut his losses, now he has bigger losses and less credibility.

It's a good question and I wish I had a glimmer of what Bob is thinking. But I can only guess that he refuses to issue a sell order on weakness. It's a trading philosophy that is right more times than not, IMHO.
