contest, contest..come one, come all.

Time for a contest. We are all way too stressed out over the Naz and the stupid arguments about memory technologies (get a life!)

Intel has promised (and we all know what that means) a P4 system selling for LESS THAN $1000 BY YEAR END. Since this will be an RDRAM system (vbg) we need to mark the magic day when the powerful P4 hits that critical price point. Imagine the headlines!

Here is the deal. Pick the date that a P4 system for $999 or less is first available! Not just advertised, but available. No second hand pass downs, only honest to gosh reputable OEM (even Micron Electronics, Scumbria) advertised (web or print) but available real deals. Pick your date!!!! The winner gets a handful of starbucks coupons from yours truly (unless it proves illegal to do so...cough, cough). I will try to keep track of all this, but I could really use a scorekeeper since I can't follow the thread as much as others.

Now, I know the Intel bulls are gonna pick early dates, and Scumbria, Carl and Dan3, they are gonna shoot for June of 2003 or something, but hey....its all for fun and a good cause (the price of my shares of Intel and Rambus). So, pick those dates.
