That is too funny after the the multiple posts you wrote making fun of it, and her, and me for having it on my profile.

People may use and interpret quotes anyway they like. It was obvious that this is the author's interpretation of the quote. Did you notice, btw, that the author didn't even use quotation marks? Dickinson wrote about nature in wonderful detail and I think the author is porbably quite correct-- I think she would have approved thoroughly of the sentiment.

Idon't know where the quote originated, do you? In fact, after seeing the many versions online, I wonder which is actually the correct one.

Self-interest? I don't see that interpretation at all.
