AJ-- Sorry- the first page wouldn't load for me. But my comment was about ED, not ecology. I disagree that she wrote from "total self-interest", in the sense of a dictionary definition. But you seem to be going off on one of your obsessive tangents...and I don't have time today to follow. Find the original source of the quote and we can talk again. There are too many variations out there for you to be so complacently convinced that you know the right one; I certainly don't have a clue- and I found examples of each, so I don't think accusing the author of unethical journalistic misquoting is fair, especially since you aren't even sure of your source.
