It is your party that is now in power, and it is proposing that the Social Security Trust Fund be used as free money for the Treasury, that any other projected Federal surplus be given out in tax cuts, and that privatized SS accounts will somehow magically save money, despite the fact that there is presently no money to put into those accounts. This proposal defies common sense, but there it is.

My wish is that Bush should respect the recommendations of the bipartisan committee that created the Social Security Trust fund, and explain how any changes from their proposals now will be funded, instead of appealing to the magic powers of privitization.

But your party is now in power, so your party has to make the proposals.
