Uncle Frank:

I don't think you sold them cheap.

Following your example, I sold the March 70's this morning at 2 3/4. After putting the order in before the market, and then watching the stock climb out of the hole for the next hour, I tried to cancel my order so that I could replace it. But, fortunately, I was too late. I sold a bunch of covered calls (March 70's at 2 3/4) and am now trying to figure out whether I should sit with them for the next two weeks or look for a cover opportunity before then. My inclination is simply to sit with them up to expiration. Then, if I have to buy them back to avoid having them called, I will do so. Can't afford to have them called. The capital gains tax would be too great for me to bear.
