True, but just before -- in December. Who gets the blame is a political reality and need not be based on facts. Factually, we're not even in a recession, just a sharp slowdown from a boom.

As I've said, I think the main blame should go to Greenspan, who fostered a credit induced bubble, with side blame to the Clinton Administration who faked many economic figures by the use of "hedonic chained dollars".
