<<and it's not the nature of that particular virus to corrupt or move other files, right? relatively tame stuff, as viruses go?>>

"Kagou-Anti-Kro$oft says not today!"

This notice pops up and if you click on it your computer shuts down. It slows the computer slightly but leaves the files alone. If you ignore the notice and bring up another browser you can keep on going.

The fix took 20 seconds or so to down load to the hard drive, shut down all programs, open the drive and click on the fix, it asks if you want the virus removed, click yes, blink and it's gone.

The patch is auto loading and again a 20 second down load. soon as it's loaded click yes and you're done.
