I'd say this was a Good Time to be an Organic farmer

I was listening to an archived radio program at MetroFarm- and the organic guys were complaining that the wind borne pollen from the starlink or genetically modified corn was crossing the road and contaminating their corn.

To add insult to injury, they can be fined for growing the resulting seed the following year if it has the genetic markers that the monsanto's of the world insert to protect the demand for seed corn. Farmers who choose to grow the genetically modified form are prohibited from saving seed for subsequent plantings.

BTW- anyone want to speculate on the outbreak of Foot & Mouth Disease in europe- and it's impacts on commodity pricing and perhaps currencies?
