WC,
It's amazing how the democrats have become today's reactionaries. Like deer caught in the headlights their leaders spout the wonders of surplus in time of recession. They are scared to propose programs because of their past history as big spenders and are so attuned to the rhetoric of class warfare that they will not let the rich get $1 of relief in the top brackets. The American people are smarter than that and although I believe the supply side aspects of the Bush tax cut are not as important as immediate demand side relief for the middle class. it's a wonder to me that the dems cant t articulate that as their position. Demand side now/tax reform later--it would be a winner. MIke
