OT - Mike, Once our public gets an economic education there won't much purpose for democrats any longer. The public will know that a good economy does more for the poor than government even claims it can do and they will know that a small federal government makes the economy function better. They will know that each person having more dollars to allocate as he or she sees fit is more important to their well being than any other freedom.

Think about this - If all of our freedoms were taken away but the economic ones what would we need of the rest? I am guessing this explains why Singapore is full of happy people under a fairly oppressive regime to our way of thinking. What do they care that they can't criticize the government so long as they have their economic freedoms? This may also explain why fewer people vote when the economy is good.
