john, don't believe the hype. the top 1% or 2% of the of the rich pay 30% of the taxes... and own just as high a % of assets - if not waaaaaaaaaaay more. too many dems are not bright bulbs and fall flat with the pub rhetoric. the wealthy should pay a higher %. bottom line, human govt is doomed to err on selfishness' side. period. that is why govt doesn't work. the rulers' self interest is not that of the nation. never has been, never will be. my goodness, if i'm sitting on millions in cash and all i can do is *itch about taxes i will officially define myself as a LOSER! rather, i'll be on my knees thankful for the good fortune, opportunity and responsibility presented to me.
