That one is an easy call. The money issue might have been a clue. I chose the birth parents for my private adoption. I never asked for a penny over direct expenses. Not for living expenses. Not for maternity clothes. All medical, of course. I wouldn't have trusted anyone who tried to influence me with money or was willing to participate in some kind of bidding war.

Those people are disgusting, all of them. I feel like I need a bath.
