Nadine, I have answered your question twice. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. Since social security is a part of the overal budget (as set up by Democratic politicians years ago), we should pay for the costs of any imbalances out of the general fund until it is solvent financially. Can you answer me this one question? If you're against partially privatizing social security. How do you intend to pay for the huge elderly population coming our way. As I've said before, one solution should be balanced against doing nothing. A train is heading our way, and we don't have the option of jumping off the track. That's typically what happens when government sets up a socialistic system. Everything looks ok for the first thirty years or so. Then economic realities catch up to those (believed) brilliant economic planners.
