I may not be aware of the latest developments in the P-MP product lines of Ensemble and NTRO, but my perception is that Ensemble's system has a higher capacity and is more flexible. However, this is not the issue. ARTT is not using P-MP, and TGNT is essentially bankrupt. This leaves WCII and XOXO, and both of them are in capex reduction mode. NTRO has a very strong cash position, but will need it. Don't forget it has also an OEM with Nokia.
I think we need to see some consolidation in the sector: all the small guys: NTRO, Ensemble, TNSI, CRNT need to either merge or be taken over by bigger companies like STXN, Nokia...
Right now, I would look at the ring architecture companies like TNSI or CRNT, since TNSI has already been selected as supplier by XOXO, and since their wireless fiber products seem to be easier to deploy and provide an inexpensive fiber substitute. |
