Do you work for the government or a union by any chance? No, I'm in high tech. And I own plenty of stocks. I just like to interrupt the Republican mutual admiration society you have here -g-. The slowdown that began last spring was on the Nasdaq. And it wasn't a slowdown, it was a bubble bursting. It wasn't reflected in unemployment figures, orders for durable goods, housing starts, or consumer confidence until the fall.
