Francois, I know this won't end your campaign of advancing your own line of "reasoning", but I can assure you I've never been reprimanded by my superiors nor done anything worthy of reprimand. I enforced the Terms of Use for the betterment of the community. A community I was a part of.

Sure, there was a reason. I was one of about 250 people let go because we were part of the "consumer business" aspect that the company states it is "de-emphasizing". Do you think that SI is something other than "consumer business"? Do you think I was the only person associated with the site who was let go?
If you don't believe that, then what do you believe? That I did something wrong and 250 people were fired so it could look like I was only part of a layoff for some reason?

Stuff happens. And the "reasoning" for it isn't always going to jibe with a tortured collection of half-assed speculation presented as fact.
That you say "I still can't believe" in the face of evidence that's pretty solid, except that it doesn't fit your hypotheses, or what you *want* to be true, speaks volumes. Gimme a holler sometime if you need some help with a corollary concept called "due dilligence".

Really? Last I heard I favored some political party. I'm so apolitical, I don't even remember which party it was I supposedly favored.
But, now that I'm no longer an admin here, I can admit that I really am prejudiced against one group of people. And if you belong to that group, there might just be something to your conspiracy hypotheses.
That group is: left-handed, red-headed, blue-eyed bowlers who throw a "backup", average 225-230 per game, are allergic to shellfish, majored in Veterinary Proctology (with a 3.2 to 3.3 GPA), minored in Human Resources, work in their minor field while doing surreptitious volunteer work in their major, and drive paisley 93 Hyundai Excels.
I hate them.
When I see them posting, I scrutinize everything they write, and wait with bated breath for anything that'll let me terminate their account.
BTW, I see that you're still posting. If I'm so biased against you, why are you able to post? Is it because I haven't verified your bowling average? It's a weakness of mine, but I prefer to find out what your bowling average really is rather than just betting that it's in that range, then telling everyone why it simply must be the case and that everyone who says you don't bowl is really being paid to disagree with me. |
