This is an Scandinavian stereotype. It is wrong. This stereotype about Scandinavian being special are periodically reinforced due to having there two of the biggest wireless players.

I lived in Sweden. The engineers ended their university studies without having a PC.

The companies and government had to give incentives for people to afford them.

Until recently Telia's -Sweden's telco- was in the same class as Albania as the last European stateowned telecom enterprise.

The people who really are revolutionary in mobile use are Portuguese, Italians and perhaps in some developing country.

And I can tell you that UMTS and 3G stuff will be kicking off somewhere else rather than in Scandinavia.

Please, try to filter marketing stuff!!
