Stomach Ache!

Starting to get the awful feeling in my stomach. MAN now under a buck, the IPMCF thread now picking up traffic plus this:

Manhattan Minerals Corp. - Tambo Grande Project

Manhattan Minerals Corp. announced today that a politically motivated group, aiming to disrupt government and industrial activities throughout Peru in the pre-election period, yesterday vandalised the Manhattan project facilities near the town of Tambogrande. The actions of the group are not representative of the majority of the townspeople, who have strongly supported Manhattan's efforts to bring environmentally sound economic development to the area. The damage is currently being assessed but is not expected to be financially material to the Company. The disruption is not expected to cause any delay to Manhattan's objective of completing its feasibility study on the TG-1 deposit by June 2001.

The Government of Peru expresses its continued strong support for Manhattan's work at Tambogrande. The Government further states that it will ensure law and order are maintained. Senior representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Mines in Lima are available for comment.
