With respect, I think it somewhat dismissive to view the breakdown we may be seeing in GE by saying, "but what does not look awful". There is no single stock more important than the General and no other breakdown could have more compelling consequences for the non-NASDAQ charts.

Remember, until recently, while most casual holders recognized that we had a tech-wreck on our hands, many were quick to point out that the DOW, and some other non-NASDAQ indices, were holding up pretty well. Even many more savvy investors/traders were running to the DOW and friends. A GE breakdown would change all that.

I also do not think that all trendline penetrations are created equal. One never knows of course, but imo, the setup here favours this breakdown showing some follow-through.
