Rumor is what drives this market .. Rumor of surprise .50 rate cut gave the market a momentary move up. If the rumors start to run about only .25 on 3/20, then the market should push it down. "These guys have an ulterior motive! " agree 100% .. then it was to move the market up .. now the reverse. The question would be why? OK .. then it was to move the market up to unload longs (or perhaps to set up shorts) .. now, perhaps, to take gain on shorts or to reestablish longs. FWIW I don't care about the accuracy of the rumors .. only the impact of the rumors.
