MMDS spectrum reallocation battle heats up.

Industry groups are taking opposing sides, and the Pentagon says it is not going to budge. The recommendations that were due on March 1 have been postponed 30 days.

Hopefuly the parties will reach a workable compromise, in spite of the rhetoric. My guess is that this controversy is one of the major factors impacting stock prices in the MMDS sector, and any reasonable resolution, even if some part of the MMDS spectrum is reallocated, would be a good thing. Based on the FCC's interim report and the uncertainties associated with 3G mobile, I doubt seriously if a crippling portion of MMDS will be sacrificed to 3G mobile, but you never know for sure.
