Tighter liquidity?! What tighter liquidity? Easy Al has been printing money at a fast clip for five years. Last year he took back a little of the huge inflow of liquidity he injected at the end of 1999. And of his six baby-step rate increases, the first three just took back the emergency rates cuts of October 1998, when he wrote a put for the whole market.

No, Easy Al has clearly announced his intention to keep printing money and lowering interest rates until the dollar blows up or he starts pushing on a string. I don't think it's long now until both events start happening.
