The thing that amazes me is how hard it is for some people to make distinctions between the different strategies in the tool box that Bob Brinker offers to investors. It's been clear to me for quite a while that Brinker's great strength is in getting the broad trend right. I happen to think that this is a really important skill. Last time I checked, my portfolio is still about 14% better off after taxes than it would have been if I had never heard of Bob Brinker last year, even though my QQQ commitment was higher than most. That's because I was combining my own stock selection with Brinker's long-term timing, which I happen to think is the best approach. Of course the remaining cash reserves will come in mighty handy once the economy stops disintegrating.
