Eric, interoperability is not the only thing that WCDMA facing, as a matter of fact that might be the easy one compare to the radio side performance issue.

It's how you deal with the interference, the multipath, the hadoff, the power control that are the real meat to cook. And cdma200, 1xEv are far more mature in those regards.

Now if you look back at the feedback we got from the problems facing 1x and GPRS initial rollout. In GPRS we are talking about lower than expected speed, longer time to get connected and power consumption.

In 1x we are talking about lack of software for more sophisticated applications. However the promised capacity and speed are pretty much in line.

The problems facing 1x/1xev are much less than their WCDMA/GPRS conterpart.
