Paul, If Compaq, GTW and the others do not emulate Dell they will keep losing share.
GTW has those dumb retail stores and CPQ has an urge to overcharge their server clients.

This is like comparing horse drawn buggies with ggas driven trucks early in this century.
The trucks soon left the horses in their dust.
Well, GTW and CPQ are horse drawn.

Even so Dell is vulnerable to them if they copy Dell exactly since then and advantage Dell has will be lost.
CPQ will go down in flames, GTW will probably adapt...their talk of canning the retail stores is wise.
