I wonder if Oracle is trying to represnent the execution problem as an economy related problem.
Ray Lane used to be driving the application software suite, yet even then the application sotware of Oracle was growing half of the rate of Siebel or I2. Now that he had resigned there could be even more problems.
In addition to Ray Lane, another important Oracle executive resigned.
Group resignation of company executives is an alarming sign, almost always followed by bad results.
Note that SAP and Manugistics are doing just fine and are unaffected by the economic problems.
