Truthcommission, thanks for your honest candor! I think the risk/reward from shorting is terrible right now. Many of us here have ceased shorting activities as well. . . and are just looking for the best long bargains we can find. . . establishing cores and waiting for bottoms and turnarounds. And there are even some [though not many] here who played 2000 beautifully, getting out a year ago this week. . . playing defensively throughout 2000 and still with a handsome sum of inflated equity with which to turn long here. . . . It is hard to imagine people just now beginning to turn short. What a risk. Best wishes, Rande Is
