I didn't feel any bond to my birth mother, until I had my daughter. Because I never knew what it felt like to be connected to someone by blood. I found my birth mother- and my connection with her is not one of affection- I mean I do like her- but there was RELIEF in meeting her, the best I can do to put it into words is "I came from SOMEWHERE"- it wasn't personal, at least not in the person to person sense, it was more like a piece of a giant puzzle falling into place.

It would probably be of more significance for you than you think- because right now it is an unknown in your life. It isn't a question of bonds like love and affection- it's a question of bonds of unfinished business, or uncertainty. I think most humans like closure- and without answers there is no closure- of course you could be a rare human that does not like closure. I am not you. I don't know.
